In 2010, when I was an RA in college, I started hosting an event called Dine ‘n’ Doc. It was a time for friends to get together, eat food, watch a documentary, talk about it, and immediately do something (donate money, write a letter to your Representative, donate supplies, etc.). Over the years, this event progressed from my college dorm room to a variety of friends’ living rooms around San Francisco.

Then in 2022, I decided I wanted to expand the concept of Dine ‘n’ Doc and make the discovery of quality documentaries and the Dine ‘n’ Doc experience more accessible to everyone.

Sometimes, documentaries can be daunting to watch. My hope is Docuvist will make it easier for you to carve out space and explore these topics with peers, so they feel less ominous, and instead energize you to have conversations and get involved.

If you’re interested in joining our next event, please get on our email list.
